Well it is a perfectly legitimate question!
So are these home invaders?
Ants?......
No! That's a lady bug!
Cockroaches?.....
That's a frog!
Flies?.....
Ohhhh..... That doesn't even come close!
Now I have a headache!
What about screaming running kids?....
Barking jumping dogs?....
Supremely intelligent cats?....
Ok... good I think you get the picture...
These are everyday creatures and happenings that don't come under the classification of home invasions.
Unfortunately on a serious note, this one does.....
So What is a 'Home Invasion?'
There seems to be no clear definition of 'home invasion.'
The reference ranges from the general; any incident where a person is at home and another person enters unlawfully.
To the highly specific; an armed robbery in a home with intent to confront the home owner.
In general, it appears to be understood as an incident involving unlawful entry into a house with intent to commit a crime, when the occupants are at home.
Be prepared! It doesn't have to cost you more than a cup of coffee and piece of cake!
